Extended-Tongue Plate-Mounted Sliding Door Latch

This plate-mounted sliding door latch is intended for door panels that use a separate keeper or receiving point. Its defining feature is the broad rectangular bolt tongue extending from one end of an elongated guide plate. A central linked mechanism guides the tongue along a straight path, while the layered plate construction keeps the moving components aligned within the assembly.

Four threaded mounting posts with nuts are visible on the reverse side, and the body has a bright silver-colored surface. Unlike a conventional round barrel-bolt layout, this configuration uses a flatter projecting tongue and an exposed guided linkage. These structural details help buyers compare the latch with an existing door assembly, replacement sample, or installation drawing.

Before ordering, confirm the mounting-post spacing, keeper position and height, required bolt travel, operating direction, and available door-panel clearance. The matching keeper is not included in the images and should be specified separately.
